Well, things have seemed to slow down a bit at the shelter. No new kids
this week (knock on wood). i did forget to tell you all some terrific
news a few weeks ago..... i can't believe i forgot! Skye & Spirit went
to a new home with a wonderful lady! Both kids have heart murmurs and
Skye has an irregular heart beat which could mean heart disease for this
pint sized kid.

Her new mommie didn't care about that and said "i just want to give them
a home for as long as they have". The kids are only about a year old so
we're all hoping this will be a long time from now. Thank you to their
mom for loving them enough to take them despite their disabilities.

Pogue seems to be doing a little better and is actually playful for the
first time in months. Blarney on the other hand has become some-what
slow and not as playful as he once was. mommie brought Blarney into her
bedroom for the night on Thursday to watch him. mommie thinks he has
something similar to sleep apnea. he stops breathing, then takes in a
big gulp of air and snores!

auntie Olympia and mommie are taking a real road trip to the vet on
Tuesday. Annie, Pogue, Blarney, Nibbles and Sunshine are all going in.
Nibbles will have adrenal surgery, Annie will have a growth removed from
her cheek, Sunshine will hopefully be strong enough to be spayed, Pogue
is in for a check-up to see if the fungus has cleared from his nose and
Blarney will go in for an assessment to see what else we can do for him.

on Wednesday, auntie Crystal brought mommie a baby bird. Don't worry
auntie Paige, mommie's NOT keeping him! the bird was weak and mommie had
to syringe feed him. He fell asleep on her chest while auntie Crystal
called around to find a wild bird sanctuary. Happily she found one and
the baby bird went to someone who could care for him properly.

Quigley has moved up in the world and is now in the ferret room enjoying
playtime with Blarney, Pogue, Sunshine, Moka, Aiden and Annie! He is a
true character and even our vet thinks he reminds her of ME! He's sure
got spunk!

i must run, i am throwing a party tonight at the Tone pool and i still
have to make the meat pies!

All my love,
Harley "Bug"
