I've been writing about how thankful I feel for ferret shelters, a
thankfulness that I'm believing all of us share.

We've all heard the stories; of heartbreak, of redemtion, of rejoice.
The sorrow breaks our heart, and the happiness overfills it. To hear of
a rescue gone well, to hear of a abandoned ferret now loved; these are
stories of hope and love. And for them I am thankful.

But the truth is that the ferrets are the most thankful. For getting a
second chance; a chance to be cared for, a chance to be loved, a chance
to feel life. Please, on behalf of the ferrets, give thanks to the
shelters.

It is a simple gesture, it is a meaningful gesture.
