Hi everyone,
To respond to the question of buying ferrets(or just getting them) in
SC, Yes they are available, HOWEVER, due to the fact that the ferrets raised
in SC are illegal to sell, you will not get a health certificate. When I
got my fuzzy, I thought that meant nothing to me. Today I found out
differently. I took my two carpet sharks to the vet today and she did their
vaccinations, but I found out that you cannot ever take them on an airplane
or otherwise travel "legally" without a health certificate. My suggestion
to you is this: Go to Georgia or North Carolina. I got my second from a
breeder in Athens, GA and becuase they are legal to sell in that state the
health certificate was part of the deal. North Carolina has a place near
Asheville that I know of and most likely more than that. So please, before
you buy a ferret in SC think about the complications it brings.

Sincerely,
Wade, Tass(the on with no past), and Zoro(Hey! Put down that sword Tass!)
