April,  thanks for the post about the Mammalian Bites. I'm afraid I wasn't
very polite.
 
My reply:
By your own research, 80% of bites treated in ER's are from dogs, 15% from
cats..... seems to me it's dogs & cats that shouldn't be kept as pets,
rather than ferrets which being grouped with rodents and other animals
must make up less than 5%.  Or perhaps it's just negligent parents that
shouldn't have pets.... Or perhaps you should do a little more research.
I am extremely offended by your poorly qualified statements.
 
This web site editor definitely needs to hear a few more complaints, folks.
