I have tried two different types of harnesses for Meep and Daisy. The first
one was a double loop type harness with a slide between the two loops. It
was ok for in the house when they were little and I mainly wanted "a trail"
to keep up with them. Both learned to scoot and wiggle their way out of it
given the opportunity, no matter how snug it had been put on. Also I was
always afraid I was going to "pull hair" when moving the slide to snug it up.

We are now using two Velcro type harnesses that are probably what you mean
by an H harness. We have a "male" and a "female" size because they
accommodate for larger or smaller ferrets. I think they are great! They
are easier to put on, automatically adjust for size and the ferrets don't
seem to mind them like the old one. We go for walks outside and they have
never wriggled out of one yet. I ordered these by e-mail and they were
either $11.95 or $12.95 apiece and came in about 10 colors.
