these thanks go to Mark Finkler (a terrific vet in Roanoke who has an
open mind and is willing to try all the new techniques - he can do the
traditional surgery, the cryo (thanks to Charlie Weiss in Potomac who
started this technique), and the bilateral salvage with vena caval
ligation(thanks to Joe Bock in Golden, Colorado).  If you're in souther
VA and looking for a top-flight vet, Mark Finkler's your man!
