Just wanted to respond to the post left by Marsha Stanek about the status of
ferret shelters here in Madison.  Unfortunately there are none.  The humane
society has a ferret or two every now and again, so they are worth giving a
call.  There are two ferret shelters in Wisconsin, one in Milaukee and the
other in Horicon.  If you don't mind driving a bit, I'm sure both are worth
checking out.  Here are the addresses and phone numbers so you can contact them.
