To Lynn and all,
Cujo was put on Lysodren for 7 days and then on the twice a week schedule.
His seventh day was Monday, so he got none Tuesday, but will go with every
Wednesday and Saturday. He is also on clavamox twice a day and one-quarter
tab of baytril once a day. He has 7 baytril doses left. We have also
added, on our own, 1 cc of colloidal silver and a small amount of saw
palmetto (for prostate enlargement) once a day.

He was operated on last summer for removal of left and de-bulk of right
adrenal. At that time, his pancreas and liver were also checked. He was
fine until a week ago last Sunday. The vet told us that it will depend on
how much time elapses between recurrence of the bladder infection (IF it
does reappear), and our situation vis-a- vis continued vet visits and bills,
and Cujo's overall tolerance of being sick and/or medicated. More or less,
he said if Cujo is fine for 2 months or more, and then just needs to be
suctioned and/or catheterized and put on anti-biotics, we would have to
decide if we would do this. I see no reason why we would not. BUT, if Cujo
is going to relapse every time he comes off anti-biotics, and is in pain
because he is infected and his bladder is over-full, then we should think
about his feelings.

We love Cujo. We will do the best we can for him. The last drive to the
vet's office is something I don't even want to think about. How could we
put him in the truck and drive him to his death? Luckily, I think animals
are more sensible about this than we are. They know when it is time. He
will tell us by the way he feels, acts and looks. Until then, we will pour
love and money into his little body and be grateful for every day that he
is with us.
