I've lurked on this list for quite a while without posting.  I thought I'd
introduce my 2 original ferrets Skippy and Scooter(male, female,
respectively.  And I also wanted to introduce the newest addition to the
family, Tucker.  I received him free from a guy I know at the local pet
store.  He confiscated him from someone that was obviously not taking care
of the poor little guy.  His fur felt dry and wirey and he was obviously
very malnutritioned and also had a lymphoma(sp?) the size of a golf ball on
his chest between his front legs.  Only a month later the lump has been
removed and he is putting on weight.  HIs fur feels so much better, though
not as good as the older kids, yet.  Skippy and Scooter were my first
ferrets and I've had them both for 3 1/2 years.  Doesn't seem like they
should be that old.  They are really sweet.  The biggest problem I have is
not using the litter box sometimes when out of the cage.  And if thats it,
I'm a happy camper.  Skippy is my cuddle boy.  He lets me kiss on him and
pretty much cuddle him as much as I want.  Scooter has the opposite
personality of Skippy.  She seems to be a bit smarter and gets into
everything.  She is also a climber.  And when I try to pick her up to cuddle
she gives me that look and wiggles because there are things down there to
investigate.  I love my babies!
