Hehehe!! Okay how about: Is it true that my ferret(s) need a teaspoon of
ferretone a day to keep from going bald? (pet store hype, here at least..has
pet people buying gallons of the stuff. Gasp!
 
And about bathing...how often, what to use...reaming ears...trimming
nails..collars..talking ferrets for walks, harnesses, leads etc..:)

Yipes! carpet on a shelf? Mine like to go on the carpet in front of my
door....eeeouwww...expect surprises when coming home (ugh!)..

Good idea!! I'll have to try that! Mine are perfect in the cage. But when I
had a smaller litterpan...they were awful. I got two of them from a guy who
never used a litterbox. But they do now. Except in the living room where
they like the carpet by the door. Thank God it's a throw rug I can wash.

LOL!! I now put my ferrets' food in a cockatiel nesting box. It has a
fliptop...because before..they always spilled it and they couldn't retrieve
it. I don't use shavings because they stink, and aren't sanitary, and it's
harder to clean. So the bottom of the cage goes to the surface it's sitting
on (with a large trashbag underneath...just for safety. <G> Anyway the nest
box is great! It holds alot of food, plus they don't fight for the dish.
They have all they can eat all the time..and just take turns. It's hilarious
really. All you see is a little round furry bottom sticking out the whole
and the ferret is in there munching away! Hehehehe!! Nonni sometimes opens
it though. She took the top off yesterday. I put it back on though...it is
too expensive to throw food away! ACK!
 
Oh...also..one problem I was having while the ferrets were out was the water
situation. I use a waterbottle. I was putting dishes of water out for them.
But my cat decided to go swimming (wierd cat!) and so much for that idea.
But today I taped a waterbottle to the underneath part of an old singer
sewing machine stand. I also have..you know those baby hammocks we used to
buy...the ones that if you didn't use one you should feel guilty for the
rest of your life because your child will have been neglected and all..the
one with the beating heart sounds? It's supposed to be much like being in
mommie's womb hearing the heart (DUH! I was stupid enought to fall for that!
LOL) Well, I made use of it the other day. Hehe! It is sheepskin
lined...really soft and nice...I put it up too...so they are living in
luxery now...and...as I was typing this I just realized....how dumb it was
to tape the bottle up. ACK! Now how the heck do I fill it??? Oh NO!! It's
happening! Brain fry!! Well, gotta go untape a water bottle. HAH!
