Well, my husband got me to talk about all the silly things Rikki did when
he died. He was my oldest, about 7, when he died of old age, as best as
we can tell, he had been a runt and sickly at times during his life.
When Kang died about a half year later (and I was pregnant) I almost
didn't deal with it at all. Kayvan insisted we bury him too, and I found
a little fuzzy toy to bury him with, and I cried. (He had a thing for
stealing stuffed animals). Nose just escaped a few weeks ago from his
outside cage, and we haven't found him, so we've got to assume he's gone.
It's hard to complete that one, with no burial or anything. That leaves
us with one, and I'm a looking a buddy for him. I want to keep having
ferrets so that Katherine can play with them when she gets older. (She's
four months now). I want more ferrets. :-) I know they won't replace
the ones that I've lost, but they will be fun in their own right. Each
of the ones I've had so far have had quite distinct personalities, all
were/are fixed males.

Yeah, how can we support getting ferrets legal in CA?? I miss not being
able to take them out for walks to the local park and such!
