Hi All,

First I would like to thank the FML for being here, and thank everyone
posting and sharing your stories. I think it was awesome how so many
pulled together for the Utah ferrets, I had the opportunity to meet a few
of those little fuzzies at MKARESQ shelter here in MI, they are just so
precious!!! (BTW, they have a great website too, lots of info!)

It has been a while since I have posted and I have a question about
Lupron. I'm looking for feedback from people who have used different
depots of it, and/or switched from one depot to another.

I have a 6 1/2 yr old female named Dookie, she has had both adrenals
removed but her symptoms came back in just over a month after surgery. As
of now she has been living a very happy life with the help of Lupron. She
has received two, 4 month depot (2mg) shots over the past year. They seem
to keep her symptoms at bay for about 6- 7 months (The only hair that grew
back though was a little fuzz on her back and her mohawk, she never lost
the fur from her face and down her front legs). I went by the suggestion
of Dr. Weiss website.

I have heard of a 4 month depot using 1mg. I have been able to get the
2mg, 4mo. depot for about $200, I hear the same depot at 1mg runs about
$100. Id like to stay with the 4 month shot and was wondering if anyone
has any information for me AND I'm curious if there are any side effects
of switching from what I have been giving her, to a different dosage. The
last thing I want to do is throw her system out of whack, this little girl
has been through enough. Although I will probably stay with the 4 month
shot, I am interested in any info on switching to the 1 month shot too.

Dookie will be due for her shot, probably at the end of January. Thanks
so much for your input, feel free to email me direct.

Sincerely,
Justine
