Today I came home and my cat had knocked over one of my hamster cages and
let the hamster out. I ran around my apartment, tearing it apart looking
for this baby hamster. I was so worried my cat had eaten her. So, I
wondered what to do next and then I thought of this idea. My ferret,
Santiago, is a smart little thing and loves to go after the hamsters.
So, I let him out of his cage with the hopes he would find her. He went in
the kitchen and was trying to get under this little bag of garbage I had
set down earlier. I picked it up, and there was the baby! She was unhurt,
but scared to death. I was so proud of him! As my friend said "dumb cat,
smart ferret!" :)
