Re: (The state of Mich.) The apellate court ruled this morning, 6/10/97 by a
vote of 2 to 1 against Kodo. He dies today.

Well, I just received the call back from Miss Geralyn Lasher, the
communications dir. of Pub. health of the state of Mich. 517-335-0267,
fax=335-3090.. She is of course only an employee that relays that they have
"public health" at the forefront of consideration, and there's nothing that
gov. Engler (517-335-6863, fx=373-1110) or the Director James Haverman
(517-335-0267, fx=335-3090) can do at this point since the courts have given
their ruling.....

I mentioned & will fax them the NH gov's declaration of June 12th as "FERRET
APPRECIATION DAY", and put out the question of considering precedence of
another state of rational people, and it did little to impress her.

I also mentioned that Kodo has attracted worldwide attention and I have even
heard of an angry movement to "boycott" the state of Mich. and all it's
businesses, and she seemed equally unimpressed.

Other good ideas at this point seem to be:
