The Cascade Ferret Network will be having its 2nd annual Ferret Awareness
Day and Open House on Sunday, June 1st from 12 to 5pm, 3025 NE Hoyt,
Portland,Oregon.  This event is CFN's primary fund raiser for the year.
 
There will be lots of fun activities:
 
Take a spin on the "Weasel Wheel of Fortune".
 
Guess how many items are in the Gallon Jar and win the contents.
 
Bring your ferret photo, artwork or video to enter the best example of
ferretness contest.
 
Make a button from your favorite photo (contact CFN for details)
 
Silent auction and raffles of great ferret related items, original
art, theme baskets, and unique items such as custom made nestboxes,
one-of-a-king handmade ferret figurine, a fine art canvas reproduction
of Leonardo di Vinci s "Lady with Ermine" and more.
 
Educational opportunities include a presentation of Ten Steps to a
Healthy, Happy Ferret by CFN s vets Dr. Mark Burgess and Dr. Katrina
Ramsell of Southwest Animal Hospital.  Vets will be available for exams
($5), ADV testing ($15) and microchipping ($25).
 
Take the Symptom & Condition challenge.
 
Gently used supplies and equipment for sale at great prices.
 
Meet shelter ferret hopefuls that are available for adoption or
sponsoring.
 
No admission charge (some activities have a small fee), healthy ferrets
in secure carriers outfitted with food, water, bedding, and litterpans
are welcome to attend.
