Well, Meltie bled again, but this time we got see the origin, and even
though it doesn't smell like it it's from her bowels. She's been started on
Pepto. [Right now we have the liquid. WHAT is the 1/4 teaspoon equivalent
for the solid regular?] Tomorrow if this has not stopped or is looking at
all off the vet (Dr. Hollo who runs the practise -- Hanan is away till
Monday, but Dr. Hollo is a really solid one and our ferrets which have met
him all like him, while we love the way he apologizes to them when he has to
do something unpleasant.) will be starting her on antibiotics. Hopefully it
won't get worse, or does not signify an additional complication. All we can
do is ride it out if she stays in reasonable shape. Treating for possible
helicobacter flare up is certainly an option, BUT how STRESSFUL is it since
she's well into stage four cardiomyopathy, and would the medicines used be
in CONFLICT with her Enacard, Digoxin, or Furosemide? , this is not a good
night.
