My 5 1/2 yr. old female is losing hair on her tail which I don't think
she's done before. I had blood work done which came back normal, but then
reading the adrenal FAQ it says this will not show up in bloodwork. What
do I do now? I just want to be sure , since I lost two of my boys this
year to other problems. I have now subscribed to the adrenal/insul.
mailing list but maybe some of you can give me some advice.

Also, it's come to my attention that my cousin, rather than walking her
dog, just lets it go on the floor of the apartment, she also has a cat. I
believe this has been going on for some time. I'm wondering, what theareas
of concern are healthwise if i take in the dog, regarding the ferrets.
I've been around dogs all my life, but have never been responsible for the
health care of one. I'm worried about worms etc. I would consider
informing the Humane Society, but her father died in January, and
today(Wed.) is his birthday. It's just not the right time for me to call
her on this, but believe me, if the animal's welfare is at risk, I will
interfere at the risk of estranging my family.

Thanks for any advice on either subject.
