The last few weeks have been a real treat and I wanted to share it
with everyone. I adopted a female ferret I named Sunshine from a
local animal shelter over the summer. She runs freely in my bedroom.

My bed is low to the floor surrounded by padding for safety so my
ferrets can come up to visit if they want.

I have a box with treats, and it is common for Sunshine to come by
and wait for treats. Over the last few weeks, that has evolved to her
putting her chin on my arm. I started to be a little random when she
came up, so sometimes she didn't get treats and sometimes she did,
hoping she would notice that hugs were a good reason to visit as well.

Today, she came up and sat in my arms for several minutes. She cuddled
and curled up, and finally joined my clan.

IT was glorious. What a treat for the holidays.
