Hi again.  I posted about my ferret Fingers a couple of weeks ago in
reference to a lump in her nether regions.  You said that it could possibly
be leftover stuff from her early descenting.  (Marshall Farms) My vet
agreed.  We put Bacitracin on the lump several days before taking her to the
vet and it softened up the lump, which got a little smaller.  The vet said
we should simply pick the scab off every day to let it drain, and not put
anymore ointment on it.  He wanted to see if her body would take care of it.
We did as he suggested and the lump did keep going down.  Now there is just
a faint purple spot.  Is this a permanent fix or will it come back?  Should
we have gotten surgery?
