Vinegar works well for cleaning carpets. Months ago when I rented a steam
cleaner the owner of the company told me not to waste money on shampoos
because vinegar and water works just as well. Lynda had told me this also
but I was still a little hesitant. I tried it and it worked great! I also
use NOW in the steamer. For spot treatment I bought a spray at Walmart -
Spot Shot. Works great too. The only problem we have is that after
cleaning the carpets the ferrets have to mark them all over again, sometimes
before I'm finished cleaning. (sigh) I keep threatening to not clean
anymore but I think they'd like that too much. :-)

For insulinoma here is Whitney's revised recipe.

1/2 can Deliver vanilla (or Boost, Restore, Ensure)
1/4 cup Pedialyte
1 scoop Baby formula (lactose free)
Sprinkle Brewers Yeast
1/8 - 1/4+ cup Oatmeal baby cereal (ferret preference)
1/4 finely ground regular food (optional - ferret preference)

Stir till well mixed. Warm a small portion, about 2 ounces (the size of
a small baby food jar - these work great to store for individual servings
and they are very inexpensive at 2nd hand stores. Other small tupperware
or that type of containers work well too). Warm in separate container
than what you will be feeding in. Stir well with your finger to check
for hot spots. If still hot blow till luke warm. Store remainder in
fridge and reheat for each feeding. Feed 4-6 times a day if possible.

Ferry's surgery is Thursday, Sept 12. Please keep her in your thoughts
and prayers. The other 4 that had adrenal surgery are doing very well.

Hugs to all. tle
