Dear Suzie: Please take things as they come and do not worry about adrenal
disease in your little one. You do not even know if this is the problem
yet. Don't get ahead of yourself. Fortunately, as you have probably been
keeping up with your yearly exams and distemper and rabies shots, it is not
as if you let your ferret go without proper care for years.

Adrenal disease is usually slow in growth. You should have time to save
enough money for surgery. I put mine off a year unknowingly. The fur grew
back in as I was about to see my vet. It fell out again the following year
and did not regrow. You may well have one full year to earn enough to pay
for surgery if that is what is needed.

Lynn-you softy! How many of us have been touched by an angel when we are
hurting? Lynn the ferret angel lady. I agree with you whole heartedly
about keeping ones ferret even though one feels he or she is not spending
enough time. Letting the booger out for exercise is a no brainer for me.
[ Don't even go there :-) ] Putting on make-up, taking a shower, making
breakfast, doing the wash: there is plenty of time to let the stinker out
to exercise.

I hear from many of you how the one ferret pines away when taken from their
home or a mate dies. A busy home is better than giving your ferret to a
stranger when your ferret loves you in whatever way a ferret loves. There
are almost always ways to make efficient use of time for things that are of
importance to us.

*****If anyone on this list has a problem with that-I would bet that there
are a lot of us that could make suggestions to help you to keep your
companion animal.*****

Heck, it is not as though you have birds or anything dumb like that.

[Only kidding. Lynn loves birds......Lisette]
