I was emailing someone the other day, no names mentioned and besides she
just told me about her sofa, and how it has become a favorite sleepy spot
for her fuzzies. She has not a problem with it either, even though it is
not paid for :-)

When you bring these wonderful little bundles of fur home, and they grow
up, and decided to shred anything and everything in their path...toilet
paper, paper towels, furniture, hide your shoes, socks, and you never
realized all this could happen. Something to tell yourself is this...
WOULD YOU MOURN THE LOSS OF A PIECE OF FURNITURE, the way you will when
it is time for your companion to cross over to the Rainbow Bridge?

My ferrets have taught me some very valuable lessons, PUT EVERYTHING UP
ON THE CEILING, and they will still try to get it down!!! Makes me think
of the time a box of cheerios came flying down @ me from the top of my
upper kitchen cabinets, (FREYA), to this day i still cannot figure out
how she got up there, as little as she is, but i got a good idea. I
tossed out a loveseat and sofa set, a few years back, because it was torn
up, BUT I DIDN'T TOSS OUT THE FERRETS! I am always altering something in
this house, to make it more accomodating to the hoomans as well as the
other companion animals living here with us, including cats and dog. It
just takes some thought...and sometimes an old decorating book fished
out of the trash for pick up :-) I deliver newspapers in the morning,
remember :-) .

I have learned also, from someone i consider and hope she does too, a good
friend, that toilet paper picks up the poop much more better than any
absorbent roll of paper towels on the market. I have tile in a good part
of my home, and the toilet paper doesn't smear it, the way the paper towel
did...absorbs the urine too. Sure it's a little more work, but much more
fun for all of us. Complain?, because i have to do a little more work?,
how can i?, when my fuzzies are all happy??? They have been a heartache
and a joy for me.

I read something in the new issue of Ferrets magazine that a vet had
spoken of about them. I hope she doesn't mind my quoting her, here.

1) They remind you to not take life too seriously--how could you not
laugh when they entice you to play?
2) They remind us to relax, but when awake--live with passion!
3) They teach us about courage and strength through adversity (observe
any ferret dealing with a serious illness).

I have spent much of my life with out ferrets, but i refuse to spend the
rest of it, alone.

Enjoying all the posts, my sorrows to those who have suffered a loss,
always tearfully, and a good hearty laugh with the funny stories too.
This is a great place to be.

Respectfully
donna and HER BUSINESS of ferrets
