Hi all,

Since so far I have only "lurked" on FML, let me introduce myself. My name
is Janneke, I'm from the Netherlands and my husband and I have 4 cats, 2 pet
rats and of course a wonderful ferret, called Max. As far as I've been able
to deduct he's a sable siamese. He's 7 months old, but we have only had him
6 weeks. It is kit-season, so it won't be long before Max has a buddy.

Since there's only ONE book in Dutch which offers reliable and in-depth
information about keeping ferrets as pets I've been looking around in the
American Bookstore in Amsterdam. There I found and bought a nice book
'Guide to owning a ferret' . Not in-depth, but I love the pictures.

Let me get to my point... The Ferret Fanciers Club was mentioned in the
book. I have written them and asked for info and a newsletter. Got the
info but not the newsletter. I really want to know if it is any good before
I pay for an overseas subscription. And which ferret organization/magazine
might be interesting for me in case FFC is not. I see mentioned here
'Ferrets' and 'Modern Ferret' and I wonder if those magazines are good.

Hope you'll be able to enlighten me on this.

Thanks,

Janneke.
