Hope might have a cancerous mass close to her lungs.  The vet said the she
could do chemo on her, but I saw my mother go through it and I would hate
to put Hope through it.  We are praying it is just an infection mass
because of her pneumonia.  They were to take another x-ray on Tue and call
me (I am on vacation and one of the vet's are taking care of the sick ones,
Faith and Hope).  I am going to call tomorrow.  I cannot wait until I get
home, despite the advice of my friend Tom.  I am afraid they called him
with the bad news and he doesn't want to spoil my vacation.  Before any of
you slam me for leaving when I had a sick ferret, my only nephew was
getting married and the plan tickets and time was set before I even knew
of Faith being sick, let alone Hope.  I have to admit I would have
probably came down anyway, but I would not have stayed as long.
 
I would like to hear from ALL of you that have had cancerous ferrets and
ESPECIALLY if you had chemo done on them.  If you are doing alternative
treatments, I would also like to know.  I already give her Timmy's Tonic in
her duck soup along with lactic powder, vitamin E, chromium, multi-vitamin
for ferrets, papaya tablets and brewer yeast.  I will try anything I can to
help her, but I don't want to lessen the quality of her life for the
probably short time she has left with me.  I would rather her have a
shorter time with me with a good quality life, than to prolong her life
selfishly and her not be able to enjoy life.

p.s.  Will some of you nice ferret own people please send me the information
I need to get onto ICQ.  I have it at home and I brought my numbers with me,
so I would love to use it down here.  Besides I want to get my sister on it
so her and I can write rather than call long distance so much.
