Regarding the distemper outbreak in Washington

I'm curious, why would you bring a ferret into the shelter knowing that
it had been exposed to distemper and jeopardize the health of the other
ferrets?

Aren't the shelter ferrets vaccinated for distemper and rabies?

Just curious.

Dan

[Moderator's note: I can't speak FOR Kevin, but he has stated on the
FML that the ferrets were vaccinated and he did not know one taken in
had distemper. I wouldn't usually chime in but Kevin might be too busy
to answer right now -- I'm sure he'll explain more when he can, if it's
necessary. BIG]
