Greetings from Seattle!

I recently was talking with a woman who rescues cats and she related an
experience that she had had with a cat and a toilet. It seems that the cat
had been drinking or playing in the toilet and had fallen in. The
displacement of the water caused the toilet to flush and the cat was swept
down into the sewers. They opened the sewer covers and put a ladder down
but they couldn't find the cat so they left them open overnight with food in
a trap at the opening. Soon (maybe that night, I don't remember) the cat
came out and was caught. Potentially a very tragic situation. I keep the
toilet lid down in my house...

[Moderator's note: It's much too cold out to be April 1st. Nonetheless, I
place this story squarely in that category, IMHO. BIG]
