Rocky is still alive and doing ok.  When I saw him last night I didn't
think he would be around this morning.  He looked so bad...so out of it.
After the adrenal surgery he started to bleed again.  So they had to open
him back up and stop the bleeding.  This really worried me because this
is how I lost my Zippy.
 
He had some seepage but not too much.  We got him to eat some soup and
drink some water.  He is on Amoxi too.  Shawn cleaned up his room so
Rocky could stay in there.  We didn't worry about caging him cause he
didn't seem to want to go too far.  Rocky is us to being out and not
locked in a cage anyways and trying to force him into one wouldn't have
been good either.  He slept in the stand alone hammock by Shawns bed last
night.  Shawn was up and down with him most of the night....thank
goodness he is off today!  ----don't know what I would do without Shawn!
 
I checked on him this morning before I went to work and he was ok.  Gave
him some water to drink.  He moved and let out a little cry...broke my
heart.  We have pain meds if we need them though so that is good, and doc
said we could give it to him if needed...
 
Talked with Shawn this afternoon and Rocky is sleeping right next to him.
Long night for both of them.  Everytime Rocky woke up, Shawn was up with
him.  Helping him move around and get back into bed.
 
Thank you to everyone with your prayers and thoughts.... Rocky is our
shelter mascot and a sweetie.  He is our only free roam ferret because
he doesn't get into anything and even sleeps with me at night.  He loves
to give kisses and ... well, not sure what I would do without him.  He
was there for me when Zippy passed when I had to shut everyone else out.
He wouldn't leave his mommy alone....he was My Rock.
 
And thank you to Shawn for all that he does.  He is the "behind the
scenes man" of Ferret Corner Shelter.  Ferrets were his fault anyways!
He is the one keeping me level headed when I needed to be or taking over
when I couldn't.
