Hi. I'm a new ferret owner, and I've got a question. I've read that they
enjoy chewing on electrical cords, and I'm curious if anyone has ever really
had such a problem. I've tried my best to secure all the cords in my
apartment to the wall, so they aren't hanging out in a tempting way - I
would hate to come home to a smoldering ferret. I've also read that there
is such a thing as ferret repellent which can be sprayed on things which you
would rather they stay away from. Has anyone ever tried such a product? Is
it something you would suggest? I've seen the same thing for dogs and cats,
but I'm not sure how safe it is for ferrets, or if it would even work.

A second question. If my pet doesn't come into contact with other animals,
does it really need distempter shots? My pet shop doesn't seem to think so.
Opinions?

Thanks
