Amanda, you wrote about medical files that you would not reveal to anyone.
I know how easy it can be to misread a sentence. I never asked for
medical files. Please read again. Don't worry. Easy to misread things.

However, CFS would be the main reason I would take Monty if anyone is
coming from Canada to Chicago in the next 3 months. The offer still
holds. With a shelter right here in Chicago area, the one compelling
reason to take Monty is your illness. It is years of spending every
minute trying to keep your head above water physically, eventually
mentally, and ultimately: psychologically and spiritually. When you wrote
that you had this disease-AND a violent family: I wanted very much to help
YOU by taking Monty. . Yet, you are an utter stranger. If you were not
willing to have the doc fax over a mere sentence or two stating that you
indeed have chronic fatigue syndrome-the reason I am so compelled to want
to help you and Monty? I would know that you were a player, and have no
desire to get involved.

I have written to you personally, and you have not written back. So I
will assume you have no interest in seeing if anyone is traveling in our
vicinity in the next 3 months. I would love Monty with all of my heart.
He, I understand, has had many homes? Is this true? I only get to skim
the FML at times.

He may not survive the loss of yet another family. That is a very real
possibility, as I am sure you know.

I understand you are or were thinking of running a ferret shelter in your
apartment, despite your disease and violence in your home? So, I would
guess that you have done your homework and realize that a move could kill
Monty. I hope that you keep Monty, and somehow keep him away from the
violence of your family, and LOVE him. But if that is not your choice?
I would do my very best to keep him alive and happy for his remaining
years Amanda. I swear it.

Best of luck,
Lisette
