Hey all you wonderful beautiful ferret-people, thank you so much for your
support!

Emmett seems better! He's eating, drinking, pooping and peeing, and smiling
when I scritch his head!

Last night, I came home and he had gotten out of his cage to eat from his
little bowl and drink from his cage-side dish! Bear in mind that these are
the exact same crunchies (TF-Senior) he has in his cage, and that he has a
water-bottle in his cage also...so it was good to see that he felt
adventurous enough to eat "al fresco!"

Then he put himself back to bed by going back in the cage and crawling into
his sleepy-bag. This morning he did eat, drink, poop, and pee--and kiss me.
He is still resting a lot, and we are still waiting for the test results.

You guys are the greatest!

Sincerely, Kate and Emmett

p.s. for the record--remember how sad and upset and angry I was at someone
who scolded me for leaving him with the vet? I am so happy to report that
that turned out to be a misunderstanding!

The person in question (who shall remain anonymous) had no idea how hurt I
was and truly didn't comprehend how near to death Emmett was...and in fact
was wondering why I hadn't called with an update about Em! and was planning
to call me this evening! and now would agree that I did do the right thing.
That makes me feel a lot better. I guess sometimes we do not realize the
effect we have on other people.

Thank you all again! "May all your ferret tales end 'happily ever after!'"
