I really never thought I would be posting for help on this subject. My boys
(Harpo and Spanky) have always been excellent about using their litter box,
but lately, Spanky has taken to occasionally going on the floor in other
corners of their room. I have not changed litter brands and Harpo has no
problems.

I cannot think of anything that would cause this sudden change in Spanky's
behavior. (He's not the smartest ferret, but he knows where he is supposed
to go...) They are caged when unsupervised and we have been letting them
out more often lately, but this is not a major change. About the same time
this happened, Spanky started digging in the box outside the cage and
making a terrible mess. We did get a new box - with a rim/edge around it.
The digging has stopped (for now, anyway) but the stray pooping seems to
continue.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Tatia
