Has anyone ever had to deal with diabetes in a ferret? My vet sees a
lot of ferrets and is great with ferrets and is doing research because
its not terribly common. Trixie was going in for her first lupron shot,
and we took her blood sugar because she has had a few insulioma-esque
episodes, and has had dangerously low blood sugar before. Now her blood
sugar is in the mid 500s. We tested a couple times to make sure it
wasn't an error. My vet said something about possibly compounding some
insulin, but he has to research. anyone have to deal with this before?
how often do they get insulin? what kind of results have you seen? I've
seeen a lot of different information online.
