STAR*Ferrets and L.I.F.E have put together a distemper vaccination survey
that can be filled out on-line. This same form has also been snail mailed
to club members so some of you may already have the "paper" version.
However, if the survey has not been sent to you ferret owners or you would
prefer the on-line form (to save postage), you will find the form at the
Legion Of SuperFerrets' Web page:

    http://www.csc.peachnet.edu/~rpoore/Ferrets/intro.html

Please, take time to fill this form out and submit it. It will help
out our fuzzy friends.

ALSO:
There are 3 articles that provide a background of what the form is about.
The first, which has been in great demand recently, provides the results of
the 1993 survey which Pam Grant and Ann did of ferret reactions to Fervac
versus the old Fromm-D (now Galaxy).

The second is a follow-up story that ran in the December 1994 IV, reporting
the arrival of the Galaxy vaccine, the removal of Fromm-D from the shelves,
and explaining why some vets, including Bruce Williams, were loath to
recommend Galaxy.

The third was an IV "extra" published in late December 1994 and sent out
separately to all subscribers, incorporating new information about the
distemper vaccine testing process, explaining why there was no danger that
Galaxy, as some had feared could CAUSE distemper in ferrets, and knocking
the drug companies involved, as well as the USDA, for refusing to tell
ferret owners the relevant information so they could come to an informed
decision.

The articles can be found on LOS' Ferret World web page also. Just click
on where it says: "WFZY--news"

Happy Ferreting!
