I just wanna take a line or three to thank all of you who continue to respond
to my request for remote assistance. The respose has been truly overwhelming.
The Flyers will be in the mail in the morning. It hjust shows how many people
out there REALLY CARE about their critters (not that I ever doubted that any
subscriber here didn't have the ferret's interest first., but having worked at
a ferret shelter for over 2 years, I've seen my share of people who only had
them because they were 'different' and were mindless of their status elsewhere,
not to mention oblivious of their needs. ) [soapbox mode off] . Again, Thanks.
The areas mentioned in the previous FML were not the only areas we neeed remopte
publicity people. No matter where you are, we could sure use your help in
 spreading
the word. I've already been on a few local talk radio shows about this and have
sent word to several more (both local and national) with good response.
Again I want to re-iterate, this is NOT a GCFA-only prohject. The GCFA is
 gracious
enough to provide me with the desktop facilities and copying carte-blanche to
get this project off the ground. Thus far, I've been foting the postage for the
advance mailings of the press release and such. Other GCFA members with
 compatiii-
ble systems will be helping with the data transcription. A friend who works for
a temporary service has volunteered herself and several of her friends to help
key the data. A friend with several GIGABYTES of HD space has donated the tem-
porary use of a 2-GIG drive to compile the final result. Tanks again...
and special thanks to Chris, for providing the chief media of publicity.
