There is a company that sells USDA Grade A (suitable for human consumption)
organically grown raw meat as dog food. A vet here in NJ was telling me
about it. It comes frozen, and you simply thaw it and feed it. You add a
couple of enzymes and vitamins to it as well. I don't know anything more
than that about it. This vet is a very ferret knowledgebale vet, and he
told me that it could be suitable for use in feeding ferrets. He also said
it was fairly pricey.

I am not trying to enter the politics of this discussion, simply forwarding
the knowledge that there is a product available commercially if you choose
to feed your ferrets in this manner.
