Thanks, Nancy, for your response about Noid.

I certainly hope this is just a reaction to her vaccinations, but
after checking my records I found that they were given on November
6th. That seems to be a long time for her to be reacting. If there
has been no change by the weekend I'll have her checked out.

I'm keeping close tabs on the lump, and so far there's been no
noticeable change in the 48 hours since I discovered it. There's no
telling how long it's been there -- I found it by grabbing her by the
scruff of her neck, which I hadn't done recently. She doesn't seem to
react to gentle pressure on it, so I don't think it's particularly
tender. She's still as lively, crazy, and paranoid as her name
warrants.

This may be a bit premature, but I like to go into things informed.
If this _is_ a tumor, what is the general prognosis? Are the majority
of these sort of tumors benign or malignant? Would she be especially
prone to developing more tumors after this one is presumably removed?
What sort of expenses are involved in the treatment?

Thanks...
  Greg
