In response to recent posts about agressive behavior, several factors could
be involved. The worst case scenario (one of the worst anyway) would be
early adrenal cancer. Age is not always a factor so don't assume that
because your ferret is only 1 year old, it is not a possibility. My
suggestion would be to speak to your vet about this and there are many
places online you can go to learn about this. Don't panic, it could be
nothing other than your ferret is just going through a phase. I would
discuss it with your vet, even if it is not adrenal, at least you learn
something new. A good place to go for information is
www.ferretcentral.org.
From there, you can access tons of important health info.

Again, don't freak out. It probably is not anything serious. I always go
overboard when it comes to the health of my little guys. Good luck and keep
us posted!

I have noticed, also, that there are some posts from anonymous people that
are really baffling. Then again, I thought the posts from Matan were
someone playing a joke (I still have my suspicions), since Matan does not
answer private emails from people (I heard this from a few posters here).
Who knows though? BIG is right, it does not matter. We should still reply
with helpful information even if we feel that the time spent is to appease
someone who gets thrills off of doing this. My recommendation is to answer
the questions on the FML and not email suspicious posters privately (they
could be trying to gain access into your system). Those who ask these
questions, are reading the FML, so your input would be received. Let's not
jump to conclusions, there may actually be someone out there that are naive
and truly need the help. I have experienced some appalling ferret care,
so nothing phases me. I rescued a ferret that was being fed Kix breakfast
cereal, and that is all! This just goes to show that some people are
clueless when it comes to animal care, and all we can do is educate them.
That little guy ended up being one of the most beautiful ferrets I have
ever seen (once his diet was changed)! He also went to a great home - Hi
Tricia and Timmy!

Just my .02 cents, .50 cents, $1.00.
