Uh, just a guess, but since the primary food of the black footed ferret is
the prairie dog, and domestic ferrets are used in all sorts of rodent
control, killing rats etc, as well as hunting of rabbits, I tend to doubt
that they are a good choice for roommates.  Anyways, Prairie dogs are wild
animals.  It would be a disservice to them to make them into domestic
animals.  Leave wildlife wild, and keep domestic pets as pets.
