My wife and I are living in Detroit, going to graduate school.
 
This is the first time we've been away from family and friends
who could help us by watching our 8 year old, Bebe, while we're
visiting her folks in California for the holidays.
 
Does anyone know if there are kennels or such that might be
able to take a ferret.  I'm frankly nervous that she
might be exposed to something such as distemper or that folks
who normally care for dogs might not understand her needs.
 
Has anyone done something like this?  Or is there a ferret lover
in this area who might want to earn a few bucks for ferret sitting?
 
I'd hate to take her into California and have her
confiscated be some anti-ferret agricultural inspector.
