Do ferret bond with people? I noticed something yesterday that makes me
wonder. I was walking him outside and wanted to go back into the house
and told my hubby to watch him for a minute. He wouldn't stay with him.
As soon as I started walking away he insisted on following me and coming
with me. All the way to the porch, through the door, up the stairs, etc
and back outside again. He didn't leave me for a minute. I didn't really
mind. I just thought he'd prefer to stay outside and enjoy the fresh air
and play.

One other question. If I in the future (not now...maybe in a few months
I'm not totally sure yet) decide to get another ferret will it ruin his
relationship with me? Will he attach himself to the other ferret more or
will our relationship stay the same? I don't want to him to be bored and
lonely but I don't want to ruin what we have either. Even though he enjoys
playing with our cat and chasing our dogs I still think he wouldn't mind
having another of his kind to play with at times. At times he just seems
lonely and I can understand that. In the pet store he was housed alone
but that doesn't mean he wouldn't like other ferret companionship.

Also if it won't affect our relationship too much what are the odds of him
and another ferret getting along? Is it a good chance or a bad one...does
it depend on how long he's been here? I've had him for about 3 1/2 months
I'd say now.

One other stupid question...is it possible to walk 2 ferrets at one time
or do they have to go out individually??? Do they like to stick together
or do they run off in opposite directions? Just wondering because if I do
get another I would want to take them out to walk together. Just wondering
about the complications of that. :-)

I just don't want to mess anything up that's why I'm asking first. I don't
want to try it and then have everyone live in misery. But nothings saying
I'm definitely getting another I'm just thinking about it right now and as
the thoughts run through my head I might as well ask questions rather than
not know.
