Congratulations, Jodi and Murphy. I believe Murphy's "Going crazy"
may be what is generally called the ferret dance. Is he hopping up
and down showing his teeth and looking altogether like he believes
he is the most dangerous animal the world has ever seen? The hissing
though doesn't fit, could it be described as clucking? -- which is what
it sounds like to me when Buttercup lets loose. My ferrets always do
the dance when on a bed or other springy material, they seem to realize
they can get a little extra height and look even scarrier than usual.
It makes me think of "Night of the Lepus", perhaps I could build
Buttercup a model town to wreak havoc in.

If you hold up your hand in front of Murphy's face while he is rambuncious,
you can probably get him to play anytime. My favorite euphemism for the
ferret dance is "fighting the imaginary ferret", posted a while back by
someone to the list. Anyway, have fun with Murphy
