Ok, I'm at a loss what to do with my crazy fuzzies. I have been feeding
a good quality ferret food to my three guys for the whole time I've had
them. I got a new baby last week. She has been eating Purina kitten
chow. I mixed it in with my normal food with the intent to slowly wean
her off the kitten chow. So here's the problem. All three prefer the
Purina! To the extent that they will pick it out and push the ferret
chow to the side and/or out of the dish. Any ideas? I did try feeding
just the fuzzy food, but she refused to eat at all. Also, I can't get
her to even try the usual ferret treats that my guys love. She will only
accept ferretvite as a treat. I even tried putting it on the new treats
and she just licks it off or turns her cute fuzzy nose up. Silly little
fur balls!

On another note, I took everyone to the school today for a visit. My
daughter did a presentation on adrenal ferrets and we wanted to show
everyone what healthy ferrets look like. (I may have mentioned this
before). The presentation went great, she got an A+. Almost all of the
kids loved the ferrets. We only had one very minor incident where a
little girl was holding Milly and sort of making grrr noises and shoving
her at the boy across from her. I took Milly right back and told the kid
that that wasn't a way to handle a living creature. (No yelling, just
don't do that). These are high school kids, so they were mostly well
behaved. I wanted to say thanks again to everyone who gave me advise on
how to handle the visit. The hand cleaner was a really good idea. And
all four of my babies behaved like ladies and gentlemen. I was so proud
of them. (not a single "accident" anywhere).
