If Gizmo still has stitches in, I would not bathe him at all - but if the
stitches are out, as long as the lips of the incision are closed and there
is no evidence of weeping from the incision , I say go ahead and bathe.
You might want to compromise, and just spray some of those deodorizing
sprays on your hands and wipe them in his coat...
