Hello all,
In response to all the letters regarding ferrets and dogs, puppies, iguanas,
etc. whether they can get along. I say that *no* newly introduced animal
to a houshold should be left unattended with *any* ferret at any time.
There will always be that uncertain time when new animals get acquainted and
are prone to any number of reactions, some very funny and some very tragic.
Always strictly supervise the introduction of any new animal, even ferret to
ferret with the utmost of care.

I have found that almost any animal will get along with a ferret and have
also introduced many ferrets, rescues and throwaways, into my family with no
adverse reactions. Alpha males ( dominant ) tend to be aggressive but will
only assert their dominance until the new arrival gets to know the score, so
to speak.
