Wheezing could be caused by allergies or asthma. Oddly, I have three that
have one or the other. Princess is constantly snorting and making that odd
reverse sneeze sound but she is fat as a butterball and playful. I've not
had much success with Benadryl for these types of ailments though Claritin
pediatric syrup works well for the allergies and pediapred seems to help
the asthma. I've not tried my singulair for the asthma but our vet and I
have talked about it.

I did choose my life's work (ferret) over human family. They were upset
because I never had time for them and would instead be home tending to an
ailing ferret. I tried talking, explaining, but nothing worked so I
decided enough stress was enough and I closed the door. That was 8 or 9
years ago and I've never been sorry about my decision. The ferrets that
come to me, need me and I would never forsake them for any human. If
someone doesn't like what I do, then they need not be around me. It is
really their choice - you either love and support me... or you don't.
Bottom line is that the ferrets depend on my and they can't take care of
themselves so they come first.

I've always believed that if you truly love someone then you want them to
be happy and even though you may not like what they do (as long as it isn't
harmful to any being) you should respect their ways. There is no room for
mental or physical abuse in a loving relationship.

Hugs to all. tle
