Has anyone noticed?????
Hi, I'm KITY=^..^=KAT, can't help that...my mom & dad named me Kat instead
of Ferret!!!!...Anyway!...has anyone noticed that you don't seem to name
ferrets?...you DO name dogs, or kats...oops!!!...CATS, ...but ferrets seem
to pick their own name?
I have 4 cats & 4 ferrets...and I feel like I named all the cats...
BUT!!!...
(first, as way of explaination...I worked in the pet store that I bought
my first 3 at...)
Rascal...(my first ferret, a cinnamon)...we (the store) had him for an
unprecedented 6 weeks, and lots of people came in to play with him on a
regular basis...and there was this boy who came in all the time to see &
play with him...one day he said, "He's quite the rascal, isn't he!!!"...
Well, that stuck!...and everybody started calling him Rascal. (The story
of how I finally got Rascal is on his page...addy at end of this post)
Sassy...(my silver Mitt little girl, gotten only one week after I got
Rascal)...That name kept coming to me...I TRIED not to name her that!!!...
it has been MY name since I was a baby!!!!...I can't name a ferret with MY
name!!!! I tried a bunch of different names for her... but...guess what
her name is!!!!!!
Wolfie...(my SWEETEST baby!!!...gotten several months after R & S) now, I
TRIED not to name him at all!!!...I knew if I did, I would end up buying
him, and I already had 2 ferrets, 2 dogs, and 3 cats!!!!... Well, he looked
just like a Silver Wolf when he was a baby...and try as I might...I could
not keep from calling him "Wolf"...someone else bought him...but had to
return him the next day...and I snatched him right up!!!!...(He is my
favorite for some reason!)
Now, Monkey(Shine)...(my Christmas present this past year)...I had such a
time!!!..."Monkey" was what I started calling him while I tried to think of
a name!!!...and I'll be danged if he didn't just cut up and jump around and
let me know that he was a REAL Monkey(Shine)!!!! And he still is and he
still does!!!!
To the person requesting funny ferret stories for his home page...if this
story of mine about naming ferrets (or rather about ferrets naming
themselves) is at all what you are looking for...feel free to take it and
use it...***embarrassed*** I forgot to keep your addy to sent it to
you...:)...my name and addy are at the end of this posting... thanks!!!
I love all my babies so much...each and every one of them just stole my
heart...just snatched it right up!!!...and that is THAT!!!
