This is a longshot.  Is her male fixed?
 
I have 3 alpha females, some betas, and can't let the three playgroups
out together.  If I left them to fight it out, there would be only one
alpha female.  Why put them through it in my opinion.  I get 2 to 3
playgroups out a day.
 
I've heard some people call ferrets cage proud because groups won't play
together.  I still attribute it to the number of alpha females that I
have.
