OK, maybe not entirely the person's fault, but still...

My husband (Jim) has a store, and a few days ago, he got talking with a
customer who told Jim that he was having to give up his dog and was
thinking about getting a cat. Jim (being the good ferret-lover he is)
asked, "What about a ferret?" and was promptly told that ferrets were
illegal. He told the customer, "Not in Florida," and was told the person
had just moved from California.... oh, and ferrets were a menance, they ate
the coyote's food and forced the coyotes into more developed areas. "I
hear they can take down a deer," Jim was told.

Jim tried to straighten out this guy, but the customer would hear none of
it. What a shame that people believe what some crack-pot government agency
publishes over fact!

But at least we know this idiot won't be the one that a cute little ferret
relies on for its food and companionship... lucky for the ferrets!
