Dear Kerri,
There is an obvioux solution, stop allowing your ferret around others,
unfortunately.  If you live in a state that ferrets are illegal, and you are
being threatened, then, my only safe option, do not let your ferret out with
company there.  Here in Michigan, its legal to own, but uf some one is
bitten, the state requires ferrets to be put to sleep for testing for
rabies.  And we will not put ourselves or our ferrets into that position.
The rule in our home, when company comes they are put into cage,fortunately,
company is rare!!!!!  Our ferrets are important to us, and to be caged for
safety is better in long run than to take a chance of someone eing nipped or
bitten, and reported to authorities.
