I have been reading these post and there isn't one answer.  It has to be
case by case.  I have a ferret that I got for free from a 25 y/o man that
wanted a dog instead.  Plus I got 6 ferrets from a 60 y/o who didn't take
care of them.  So I really don't think you can ever say never.  To group
people by age is just wrong.
